Brighton & Hove Albion have appointed 29-year-old Spaniard Arturo Ruiz as head coach following Dario Vidošić's exit, handing him a contract until 2029.

Ruiz burst onto the coaching scene in March 2024 at Atlético Madrid, guiding them to third in Liga F. He then took charge at Granada CF for 2024/25, delivering a fifth-place finish and a Copa de la Reina semi-final run.
His most recent stint at Real Sociedad was arguably his finest - a third-place Liga F finish that secured Champions League qualification, Soccerdonna reports.
Ruiz will officially start once his work permit clears. His baptism of fire? FC Arsenal away on 6 September in the Women's Super League opener. Welcome to England, Arturo.
