Juventus Women wrapped up their Serie A Women's Cup group campaign in style on Sunday, edging Milan 1-0 in Biella to preserve an unblemished record this season.
Ana Capeta proved the match-winner, breaking the deadlock in the 78th minute after a sharp counterattack orchestrated by Danique Noordman. It was the only goal a tightly contested affair deserved.
Milan were the livelier side early on, but goalkeeper Larissa Rusek stood firm, denying both Thea Kyvag and Sara Fornes. At the other end, Annamaria Serturini tested Milan's Sandra Estevez without reward.
Remina Chiba grew increasingly influential for the Bianconere as the half wore on, coming close on more than one occasion without finding the net.
The game's complexion changed after the interval, and Capeta's clinical finish finally gave Juventus the lead. The goal came at a price, however - Capeta was forced off shortly afterwards with an injury.
Milan pushed hard for a leveller in the closing stages but could not find a way past Rusek, as reported by OneFootball.
Attention now turns to Monday's draw, where Juventus will learn their semi-final opponents.
