Eighteen-year-old forward Morena Gianfico has sealed a season-long loan move from Napoli Women to Valletta FC Women, spending the entire 2026/27 campaign in Malta.
The Pozzuoli-born striker rose through Napoli's youth ranks before earning a place in the senior squad at a remarkably young age. Her Serie A Women debut came in February 2024, when she featured against Sassuolo.
Gianfico began last season with Napoli but was sent on loan to Trastevere midway through the campaign. She made nine appearances for the club, finding the net once, as Soccerdonna reports.
Despite her age, Gianfico already boasts valuable experience at international level. She has represented Italy across several youth categories, most notably the U17 side that reached the semi-finals of the European Championship in 2025.
The move to Valletta offers her a fresh platform to rack up regular minutes and continue her development away from the intensity of Italian top-flight football.
