OL Lyonnes have locked down another promising talent. Elma Junttila Nelhage, the 23-year-old Swedish defender, has penned a two-year contract extension that will keep her at the club until 2029, as reported by OneFootball.
Nelhage becomes the fourth young player to extend her deal this window, joining Wassa Sangaré, Julie Swierot, and Maïssa Fathallah in pledging their futures to the French giants.
The defender arrived from BC Häcken roughly 18 months ago and has since racked up 14 appearances and a single goal - 10 of those outings coming last season. Her trophy cabinet already boasts league titles from 2025 and 2026 plus two national cups.
Head coach Jonatan Giráldez has given Nelhage an expanded role during pre-season, and the trust paid off immediately. Despite not featuring in an official match since 5 April, she started in the Première Ligue opener and helped deliver a commanding 7-1 demolition of Fleury.
