Spain's wing duo for the U20 World Cup in Poland is dripping with pedigree. Daniela Agote and Pau Comendador - both crowned U19 European champions - are ready to terrorise defences on the biggest youth stage of all.
La Roja kick off on 7 September against Nigeria before facing New Caledonia and the People's Republic of China. Not a gentle draw, but these two have earned every right to fancy their chances.
The 20-year-old made her Athletic Club debut in November 2024 and hasn't looked back. She featured in all 30 Liga F matches during 2025/26, bagging six goals and three assists. Named best player at the 2024 U19 Euros, she also helped Spain defend the title in 2025.
Still just 19, Comendador joined Real Madrid in 2021 and broke into the first team by November 2023. Her debut full season brought 22 appearances, two Liga F goals, and outings in the UEFA Women's Champions League, Copa de la Reina, and Supercopa de España. She was top scorer at the 2024 U17 World Cup - not bad for a warm-up, as Soccerdonna reports.
Agote favours the right flank, drifting centrally and linking with her full-back. Comendador operates from the left, driving at goal and exploiting gaps between defenders. Together, they offer Spain width, goals, and headaches for any opponent brave enough to press high.
