Katie Taylor delivered a masterclass in front of more than 80,000 adoring fans at Croke Park, retaining her WBA super lightweight title with a commanding unanimous decision over France's Flora Pili.
The scorecards - 100-90, 98-92, 100-90 - told the story of total dominance from Ireland's boxing icon, as The World Boxing Association confirmed.
Taylor set the tone early, snapping out a crisp jab and stringing together sharp combinations that kept Pili on the back foot. Her movement was excellent throughout, using angles and ring craft to neutralise anything her opponent threw back.
Pili showed heart and refused to wilt, but Taylor's speed advantage and wealth of experience proved too much to overcome.
The atmosphere inside the famous Dublin venue was nothing short of extraordinary. A roaring crowd lifted Taylor through the championship rounds as she stepped on the gas, finishing the contest in thrilling fashion to cement her legendary status in the sport.
