Italian midfielder Giulia Dragoni has completed her move from FC Barcelona to Chelsea, putting pen to paper on a deal that runs until 2030. Neither club revealed the fee - because why would they make things easy for us?
Dragoni spent last season on loan at AS Roma, and she didn't waste a single minute. She featured in all 22 Serie A Women matches, starting 15, bagging seven goals and laying on four assists. Throw in a goal across six Champions League outings and two assists in six Coppa Italia Women appearances, and you've got yourself a proper highlights reel, as Soccerdonna reports.
The 19-year-old's journey started at Pro Sesto's youth setup. She switched to Inter Milan in 2020 and broke into the senior side just after turning 16. Barcelona came calling in January 2023. She cut her teeth with the B team before earning ten first-team appearances and netting once.
Dragoni earned her first Italy cap in 2023 - aged just 16. She then started all three group games at the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, becoming the youngest Italian ever to feature at a World Cup. She now has 25 caps to her name. Chelsea fans, you've got a good one.
