SKN St. Pölten delivered a clinical performance at home, shutting out FC Red Bull Salzburg 2-0 in the ADMIRAL Frauen Bundesliga on Saturday.
Vracevic broke the deadlock just before the break, heading in from a corner to send the hosts into half-time with a deserved advantage. The opening 45 minutes were defined by disciplined defending from both sides, but it was St. Pölten who found the decisive moment.
Ebert put the result beyond doubt in the second half with a precise finish to double the lead. Salzburg's Emelie Kobler pushed hard to pull one back, but the visitors' attacking efforts came to nothing against a resolute home defence.
Referee Oliver Fix kept a firm grip on proceedings, booking Wucher and Vadasz for St. Pölten, while Lutz and Kobler picked up cautions for Salzburg. Just 100 spectators were on hand to witness the result.
