Atlanta snapped a six-game losing run in Las Vegas with a statement victory over the Aces - their first win in the city since 19 July 2022. Rhyne Howard led the charge with 23 points, while Angel Reese delivered 21 points and 10 rebounds for her league-leading 24th double-double of the season. Allisha Gray matched Reese's 21-point haul.
The game took a dramatic turn when Aces head coach Becky Hammon picked up two technical fouls for protesting a non-call in the second quarter and was ejected. The incident brought her season tally to three technicals and carries a $1,000 fine. Assistant coach Charlene Thomas-Swinson stepped in to guide Las Vegas for the remainder of the contest.
A'ja Wilson was outstanding despite the result, finishing with 27 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks. Jackie Young chipped in 24 points and Chelsea Gray added 13, but a paltry eight points from the Aces' bench proved costly.
Both sides are back in action on Thursday. Atlanta travel to Los Angeles, while Las Vegas host Connecticut.
