Angel Reese has done it again - and then some. The Atlanta Dream forward rewrote the WNBA record books during her side's clash with the Los Angeles Sparks at Crypto.com Arena, claiming the all-time single-season offensive rebounding record with her 173rd of the campaign.
Reese needed just two offensive boards heading into the contest. She got there with 2:04 remaining in the second quarter, surpassing the mark she herself had established.
The record she broke? Her own. As a rookie with the Chicago Sky in 2024, Reese hauled in 172 offensive rebounds across the season - a total that already seemed extraordinary. Now with Atlanta, she has pushed that ceiling even higher, owning the top two single-season tallies in league history.
Before Reese arrived on the scene, the record had stood for more than two decades. Hall of Famer Yolanda Griffith set the previous benchmark of 162 offensive rebounds back in 2001.
Atlanta entered the Sparks game boasting a 22-13 record, fresh off a victory over the Las Vegas Aces. Reese's move to the Dream has surrounded her with seasoned talent, and the results speak for themselves - her relentless work on the glass has been central to the franchise's postseason push.
Next up, the Dream continue their West Coast road trip with a meeting against the Phoenix Mercury.
