Satou Sabally has been ruled out for the rest of the WNBA season after suffering her second concussion in a year, and will also miss the FIBA World Cup to focus on recovery.

Satou Sabally will not return to action for the New York Liberty this season. The forward has been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign after sustaining a concussion on 23 June in a game against the Las Vegas Aces.
It was the second concussion Sabally has suffered in under 12 months. The first came during last season's WNBA Finals while she was still with Phoenix.
Sabally featured in 13 games for the Liberty, posting averages of 10.4 points and 2.8 assists per contest before the injury intervened in what was her first season in New York.
The German international had been expected to play a central role for her national team at the upcoming FIBA World Cup, but she confirmed via Instagram that she would sit out the tournament. Sabally said she was disappointed but stressed the need to prioritise her health, as ESPN reports.
New York have already clinched a playoff berth and are focused on positioning ahead of the postseason. The WNBA is currently on a two-week break for the World Cup, with the Liberty facing four more regular-season games once play resumes.
