Angela Stanford is talking a big game. The Team USA captain has declared her squad ready to wrestle the Solheim Cup away from European soil - and she's not mincing words about their chances.
The 20th edition of the competition kicks off at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands, marking the first time the event has been staged in the country. The course measures 6,557 yards at par 72.
Stanford has confirmed Angel Yin will tee it up despite recent health concerns. Lilia Vu is also on-site as a backup option should anything change at the last minute. Bold move - but Stanford clearly isn't in the mood for excuses.
Team USA are defending champions after their 15½-12½ triumph last time out. Nine players return from that victorious squad, led by Nelly Korda. Megan Khang joins Korda in making her fifth appearance.
Europe won't roll over, though. Charley Hull and Carlota Ciganda are contesting their eighth Solheim Cup - a remarkable feat. Captain Anna Nordqvist, who has announced her retirement from the LPGA Tour, will be desperate to bow out on a high.
The 2028 Solheim Cup heads to Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. But for now, all eyes are on the Netherlands - and a Team USA side that genuinely believes they can win away from home.
