Rebeca Bernal has become the first Mexican player to compete in the Women's Super League after completing a late summer switch to Manchester United Women.
The 29-year-old midfielder, who has 78 caps for Mexico and captains her national side, joins Eva Olid's squad with serious pedigree. She spent the last two years at Washington Spirit in the NWSL before making the leap across the Atlantic, as OneFootball reports.
Bernal describes herself as a player who can slot in at centre-back or holding midfielder - and she's not shy about the physical side of the game. She's determined to win every individual duel and has a particular fondness for headed goals.
