Brommapojkarna head into Round 18 on the back of a morale-boosting 2-0 away victory at Kristianstad, a result that snapped a painful run of form. Before that win, they had drawn twice - against Piteå (1-1) and Djurgården (2-2) - and suffered a humiliating 6-0 home defeat to Häcken. That emphatic loss to one of the league's heavyweights exposed serious defensive frailties at home, where BP have conceded an average of 2.3 goals per match this season and are yet to keep a single clean sheet.
Norrköping arrive in desperate need of points. Back-to-back defeats - 0-1 at home to Djurgården and 0-2 away to Hammarby - have deepened the gloom around a side that has won just twice all season. Remarkably, their away record (1W, 4D, 3L) actually reads better than their home form, where they have managed only one win in nine matches. They average just 0.9 goals per game overall, having failed to score in eight of their 17 fixtures.
BP's 22 goals in 17 games show they can find the net, but their 33 conceded is a concern. Norrköping's seven draws suggest they are hard to break down at times, yet their toothless attack - 15 goals all season - limits their capacity to capitalise. This clash pits BP's home attacking intent against Norrköping's stubborn but inconsistent rearguard.
Brommapojkarna's home record is far from convincing, but Norrköping's struggles in front of goal make it difficult to see the visitors seizing control. BP should have the edge if they press early and exploit Norrköping's scoring difficulties, though their own defensive vulnerabilities leave the door open for a surprise.
