Djurgården head into Saturday's Round 18 clash smarting from a 1-0 home defeat to Rosengård last time out - a result that extended a miserable run of form. The Stockholm side have won just two of their last five Damallsvenskan outings, with that loss to Rosengård sandwiched around a draw with Brommapojkarna and a narrow away win at Norrköping. Their season record of five wins, three draws and nine losses tells a story of inconsistency.
Kristianstad boast the stronger overall record this term - seven wins from 17 matches - and carry genuine attacking threat, averaging 1.6 goals per game. A 5-0 demolition of Norrköping and a 1-0 win at AIK in recent weeks show they can hurt teams. Yet their last outing produced a 2-0 home defeat to Brommapojkarna, a reminder that lapses remain an issue. On the road, Kristianstad have shipped 15 goals in eight matches.
Djurgården's home numbers offer hope. They average 1.6 goals per game at home and concede just one per match on their own turf. Kristianstad's away defence, leaking nearly two goals per trip, could be exposed. The hosts' 8-0 thrashing of Uppsala on home soil in Round 13 demonstrated the damage they can inflict when clicking.
Both sides carry vulnerabilities, but Djurgården's superior home record gives them an edge. Kristianstad's attacking quality makes a shutout unlikely, however. Expect goals at both ends in what should be an open, competitive affair.
