Brazilian fighter Karol Rosa is gearing up for one of the biggest tests of her UFC career, with a women's bantamweight bout against Irene Aldana confirmed for UFC 296 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Rosa brings a 6-2 UFC record into the cage, having picked up wins over the likes of Lina Lansberg and Yana Santos. Her only setbacks came against Sara McMann and Norma Dumont - both tough opponents in their own right, as Sherdog reports.
Rosa spent a full year training at the UFC Performance Institute in the United States, honing her physical conditioning and dialling in her nutrition. She returns to the bantamweight division feeling sharp and confident.
Aldana is no easy assignment. The Mexican contender has won seven of her last ten outings, though she arrives off the back of a title-fight defeat to Amanda Nunes. Rosa is under no illusions about the challenge ahead.
