Chelsea's Sonia Bompastor has slammed a new rule that forces players off the pitch for treatment, after it cost her side during their match against Aston Villa.

Chelsea boss Sonia Bompastor has taken aim at a fresh regulation forcing players off the pitch for 60 seconds after receiving medical attention. Her advice to her squad? Stay on your feet unless you're properly hurt.
The rule bit Chelsea during their clash with Aston Villa, when Sjoeke Nusken was forced to leave the field twice for treatment. On one of those occasions, Villa found the net while Chelsea were a player short - hardly ideal, as Sky Sports reports.
Bompastor didn't stop there. She questioned whether proper protocol was followed, arguing the referee acted without accurate information from the players involved. Officials, she insisted, need to grasp the consequences of their calls - especially when it comes to when and how players re-enter the game.
The Chelsea manager also weighed in on a separate officiating row. Crystal Palace are under investigation for exceeding their permitted substitution windows during a match against Everton. Bompastor suggested the blame lies with both the club and the officials overseeing the game.
