Japanese forward Aoba Fujino has committed her future to Manchester City, penning a deal that runs until summer 2030 after an impressive two years at the club.

Manchester City have tied down Aoba Fujino to a fresh long-term deal that keeps the Japanese forward at the club until summer 2030. Not bad for someone who only rocked up two years ago.
The 22-year-old made the move from Tokyo Verdy Beleza in the SOMPO WE League back in summer 2024. She wasted no time settling in, helping City clinch the Barclays Women's Super League and Adobe Women's FA Cup double last season. Talk about hitting the ground running.
Fujino has racked up 52 appearances across all competitions, finding the net 11 times. City clearly fancy her as a cornerstone of their future plans - and frankly, who can blame them?
The forward herself spoke of her eagerness to keep growing at the club, highlighting the backing she's felt since day one in Manchester.
City head to Villa Park on Sunday to take on Aston Villa. Another chance for Fujino to justify that shiny new contract.
