FC Rosengård have turned to former Celtic coach Fran Alonso after parting company with title-winning boss Joel Kjetselberg amid a difficult Damallsvenskan campaign.

FC Rosengård have confirmed that Joel Kjetselberg has departed as head coach, bringing an end to a tenure that included a record-breaking season and a Damallsvenskan title in 2024.
Kjetselberg, who served multiple stints with the Swedish club, leaves with the side languishing in a relegation playoff spot this campaign.
Former Celtic coach Fran Alonso has been named as his successor, as Fotbollskanalen reports. Alonso brings a wealth of experience from elite men's football, having worked as a technical coach under Mauricio Pochettino at Southampton and served as assistant to Ronald Koeman at Everton.
Rosengård's form this season has been a far cry from their 2024 glory. The club only recently claimed their first league victory - a win over Djurgården - yet remain mired in the relegation zone. Whether Alonso can spark a revival remains to be seen.
